La herramienta Clip te permite recortar una capa de entrada utilizando un polígono como límite. Es ideal para extraer datos de un área específica o para ajustar capas a límites administrativos. El resultado será una nueva capa que contiene solo las geometrías que se encuentran dentro del área de recorte.
Useful tip: For better results, make sure both layers are in the same coordinate system. The clipping layer must be of polygon type.
How it works
1. Load files
Upload the layer to clip and the boundary layer.
2. Intersection
The system identifies geometries within the boundary.
3. Clipping
Geometries are clipped according to the defined boundary.
4. Result
Get the new clipped layer ready to download.
Preguntas Frecuentes
You can clip layers containing points, lines or polygons. The clipping layer, however, must contain polygons that define the boundary of the area to maintain.
By default, all attributes of the original layer are maintained in the result. You can deactivate this option if you only need the geometries.
The tool will try to reproject them automatically, but for better results, we recommend that both layers are in the same coordinate system before processing them.
